My piece is about childhood fears and nightmares. As a child I was scared of someone breaking into my room at night and murdering me. I use to always check under my bed and in my closet before going to sleep because I was paranoid someone would be hiding there waiting to kill me. I think my fear stems from watching true crime shows when I was little. 

My piece shows someone hiding under their bed looking scared. I had the subject hide under the bed because kids believe that the safest place to hide is under the bed.
